We decided to do this on rather short notice. And then we did it quick. Probably the idea deserved a little more work, but it was cold, it was raining and it was already 1 a.m., so we cut this short. So just some rain, a girl with an umbrella, and two flashes lighting up the night. We’ll do this again some day (or night). Continue reading
You are reading this right. Week Twelve. We missed week eleven. Schedule just didn’t work out. So we postponed and went to the Bonn subway stations. These aren’t exactly the world greatest architectural achievements – but they did just fine for our purposes. Continue reading
Maybe you wondered if this project is still going? Yes it is! I have just been lazy when it comes to posting updates. So these sat on my harddrive for 2.5 weeks already.
Anyways, we went to the top of a parking garage and used it as location. It offered am surprising variety of views and backdrops. And then I used to wide angle to make it really pop. Continue reading
Most of this project so far was done indoors, and often in tight spaces. It was time for something different. So we went outside to the Kunstmuseum Bonn and used its fine architecture as a background. The light switched back and forth between sun and dark clouds, which made for some cool looking skies as well. Continue reading
“Nobody puts Baby in the corner” – they say in Dirty Dancing. But given an empty room with a nice corner, I put Franzi in there. Used some wiiide angles and this is what we got. Continue reading
This post is a little late – but we took these photos a couple days ago, so we were still within the weekly schedule. It’s just the social media posting that is an afterthought.
However I tried to re-create something I read on a blog post. And so you get your model to bring her curtains from home and wrap herself into them in the back office. Not quite sure if I am really satisfied with the results. There’s room for optimization for sure. But with all the white it’s a good contrast to the dark images we took recently. Continue reading
There was no time to do something this week. So we decided to just do something spontaneous. I bought a pack of sparklers, we went outside and these were the results. Not pictured: Dirty shoes and mud all over my pants. Continue reading
Today the high time of the German carnival season has started. We used the occasion to dress Franzi up in a bunch of different costumes. So we’ve got a cop, a cat, a reindeer and a pirate. Arrrrr! Continue reading
Week four is coming to an end and we had to reschedule our weekly shooting. I found some cool looking lowkey photos and decided that this should totally something we can try. There was an opportunity to set up the black backdrop and we went for it. I really enjoy the results. Continue reading
Literally the next door over from the place where Franzi and I work is a fitness studio. So far I’ve almost completely ignored the place, actually even though I have done a fair bit of sports in my life, I never went to professional gym. But our boss decided to give everybody a free membership starting this month, so we’ve begun to use it! So, to keep track of any progress (if there’s any) we’ve taken some “before” photos. Continue reading
